I thought 1/51 persons 50 years of age and older who had received at least one dose of vaccine would suffer a non-COVID-19 death (over the unvaccinated) as being a little high, so I recalculated the risk using two approaches.

CALCULATION for the 50+ age group of excess number of NON-COVID-19 deaths associated with ever vaccinated:

1. based on raw death counts: 479,994 -65564 = 414,430 excess deaths in a population of 21,111,876 = 1/51

2. based on non-C19 deaths in vaccinated [479,994/21,111,876 x 100] at 2.27% (1/44) and a Relative Risk of 7.26-fold higher than unvaccinated (Table 2 for Table 1 data), so that non-C19 deaths in unvaccinated = 0.313 % (1/319); to determine the excess (319-44)/14036 = 275/14036 = 1/51.

Estimates for USA Non-COVID-19 Deaths Related to Vaccination

So for the USA with a population of 331.9 million in 2021 and the 50+ age group at 34 % of the population and about 94 % having received at least one dose [https://data.cdc.gov/Vaccinations/Archive-COVID-19-Vaccination-and-Case-Trends-by-Ag/gxj9-t96ft], means in the USA at 1/51 vaccinated suffering an excess non-COVID-19 death predicts

2,079,906 Americans

lost their lives due to vaccination up to May 31, 2022 while 988,793 Americans were lost to COVID-19.

By February 25, 2023, there have been 1,103,046 COVID-19 deaths in the USA (Our World in DATA) and prorated:

an estimated excess 2,316,397 Americans who lost their lives to non-COVID-19 deaths

related to being vaccinated with at least one dose.
